Australian scientists did travel back in time to a photon
They simulated the sending of particles of light quantum to the past for the first time in history. The team led by doctoral student Martin Ringbauer used individual light particles (photons) to simulate quantum particles that travel through time. In the simulation, the team examined two possible outcomes of an experiment with a photon travelling in time.
The researchers claim that photons can move through time. 'One 'photon would travel through in a wormhole towards the past and would interact with your previous version. 'Two photon' travels through the normal space-time, but interacts with a photon that is stuck in a loop of a worm hole time, known as closed curve of type time.
So the study reveals that the time travel might be possible at least to a quantum level.
