Wormholes

Hinged worm holes

The Wormholes Lorentz traversals should allow travel from one part of the universe to another very quickly or would allow travel from one universe to another.

The possibility of worm holes which in general relativity was first demonstrated by Kip S. Thorne and Mike Morris in an article published in 1988. The type of wormhole pierced which they discovered, was held open by a kind of spherical shell of exotic mattercalled wormhole by Morris-Thorne.

Subsequently, other types of wormholes have been discovered as possible solutions in general relativity, such as a type of hole that is held open by cosmic strings, which was already predicted by Matt Visser in an article published in 1989.

Wormholes and time travel

The practical application of wormholes in the time travel would be as follows:

Accelerate the end of the wormhole at a very high speed relative to the other end. Relativistic temporal dilation would result in one end of the wormhole being accelerated aging more slowly than the mouth that has not been accelerated.

This means that everything between the accelerated end of the worm hole, could come out the other end at a time prior to its entry point.
