Tipler cylinder

This theory for travel in time, involves a rotating cylinder of high density and infinite length, which supposedly would revolve on its axis at a rate similar to that of light, thus creating a very high gravitational attraction that would travel to the past, since it would attract all kinds of matter including light to a path in a loop What is known as it closed curve of type time making an object returns to the space-time of which left. This theory was developed by the physicist Frank J. Tipler in 1974.

Empty doughnut-shaped

Agujero negro viaje en el tiempoAmos Ori israeli scientist believed to have solved one of the greatest difficulties to travel back in time, since his theory does not require exotic matter and used the vacuum that exists in space to travel through time. Your machine could be built by a civilization more advanced than ours in 100 or 200 years. Ori machine relies on the theories of Einstein to say that space can curve in donut shape to create a field of gravity internal able to drag themselves to the space and time next. He adds that mathematics show that each period of time, since it is created this gravity field up to the present, is located inside and that the only thing missing is to calculate how to reach that point.

Exotic matter

Physicists define exotic matter like matter that does not meet one or more of the laws of conventional physics, as having mass or negative energy. The scientists suggest that the Tachyon - particles that travel faster than the speed of light - are unable to interact with ordinary matter. But the appearance of negative mass or energy to prove the existence of exotic matter. Such an event can twist space-time and der access to amazing events: the appearance of tunnels connecting the universe, warp propulsion, which accelerate faster than the speed of light, and therefore the time machine.

Cosmic strings

They represent a series of defects one-dimensional topological (spatial) hypothetical in the fabric of space-time that result from the formation of the universe. Thanks to them, you can create bends of time that would allow travel to the past. To build a machine of this type is proposed to use the cosmic strings. In theory, the convergence of two ropes together or with a black hole will provide a series of "closed time like curves". And if he is calculated accurately the movement of a spaceship ' eight ' around two infinitely long ropes, in theory it would be possible to move to any place.

Through a black hole

Perhaps black holes, generated the most incredible impact on time since they can slow down it like no other known force. In its essence, are natural time machines. And if the Mission of overflight of a black hole was commanded from Earth, the time to achieve an orbit around the hole would be 16 minutes, while the brave aboard the ship would have been exposed to a decrease to half of the passage of time, i.e., just 8 minutes.
